I have limited information on the games last night, as I was not able to attend either one due to a church board meetings...but the word from my sourses report that the girls varsity won their gam against New Life Christian in Marysville. It was a close game, but they hung on to win 37 to 36. That gives them an overall record of 4 - 6. Awesome!
The gym in Marysville has a carpeted floor and is a smaller court and one girl said that contributed to the team not scoring as well as they should have in the game. Plus, the refereeing again seemed to be partisan, especilly in the calling of fouls in the act of shooting for the Lady Lumberjacks.
The guys were home in Redding for their second game against American Christian Academy. Since that team is made up of homeschoolers, they have no gym to play in so their home games are in our gym as well. I don't know if they use the RAA gymn as their practice facility or not.
Anyway...Guys win 59 - 40, for their second win on the season, for a record of 2 - 5.
Good Job Guys...
This week both teams play 3 games, with two more home games on Tuesday and Thursday Nights.
